It offers the listener a musical journey where styles and genres rub shoulders without jostling, merge and thus find the material of what makes the essence of jazz, music forever contemporary and always in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"ER jazz trio   Thunder Trane\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/c37nEO3lpCU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">On retrouve dans les compositions du pianiste <strong>Eric Richard<\/strong>, un respect \u00e9vident pour l\u2019\u00e2ge d\u2019or du jazz moderne, telles des \u00e9vocations de <em>Thelonious Monk<\/em> (\u00ab\u00a0Monk\u201920 Special\u00a0\u00bb), <em>Bud Powell<\/em> (\u00ab\u00a0Dancing with Bud\u00a0\u00bb) ou encore <em>John Coltrane<\/em> (\u00ab\u00a0Thunder Trane\u00a0\u00bb). De m\u00eame, on devine un langage plut\u00f4t parkerien dans \u00ab\u00a0Whims of the Sun (and Craze of the Moon)\u00a0\u00bb, alors que le th\u00e8me de \u00ab\u00a0Hope\u00a0\u00bb \u00e9voque plut\u00f4t l\u2019orchestre du Duke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">But classical music is also not left out in the cortege of influences of the pianist\u2019s compositions: under his capricious blues attire, \u00abA FAb Blues\u00bb is in fact a distant reminder of the \u00abWarsaw Concerto\u00bb of the English composer <em>Richard Addinsell<\/em>. Similarly, \u00abWaltz for Borodine\u00bb was inspired by the Russian composer\u2019s 2<sup>nd<\/sup> string quartet.
